Commercial ostrich farming started during the late 1880's in South Africa, this was also the start of the ostrich industry worldwide. Victoria Bay is a protected cove enclosed by cliffs. The gentle sloping beach makes swimming safe for the whole family. The area, however, is best known as a "surfer's haven" with big waves forming far out for a long ride. A tiny cove that is not big enough to support more than a handful of holiday cottages along the water's edge, means that this lovely spot is never too crowded.

You will continue to quaint Knysna after a brief stop, traveling via Wilderness, an attractive holiday resort with beautiful beaches. Overnight in Knysna.

You will finally reach Kruger National Park and spend the afternoon searching for the Big Five. This park has more recorded species of wildlife than any other African game reserve. In the late afternoon, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 10
Enjoy breakfast before you enter the Kruger Park for a full day of game viewing activity. Your guide will endeavor to spoil you with sightings of the Big Five, general game (Game drives are probably the most popular way to see wild animals in their natural habitat on a four wheel drive vehicle specially adapted for viewing and allows you to get close to some of the predators and larger animals, safely).

Stop at one of the rest camps for lunch (at your won expenses). Spend the rest of the afternoon in the park. There is nothing distinctive about the topography of the park except in the northern reaches, where nine of Africa's major ecosystems meet and merge. Vegetation is mainly bush veld, varying from park-like grasslands to dense bush, especially in the rainy season. Later in the evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
